A zoo is accused of portray a donkey and passing it off as a zebra


A zoo in Cairo, Egypt, has been accused of attempting to idiot guests by portray zebra stripes onto a donkey, however the zoo director insists the animal is the true factor.

Mahmoud Sarhan, 18, mentioned he was visiting a recently-opened animal sanctuary on the Worldwide Backyard municipal park when he noticed a wierd trying animal.

Sarhan shared this image from his trip on July 21.

Sarhan mentioned a number of issues in regards to the animal stood out and made him suspicious. The black paint had melted on the donkey’s face and the ears did not appear to be the best dimension for a zebra, he mentioned.

He posted an image on his Fb web page, which shortly went viral.

Within the photograph, he is posing subsequent to the animal, trying bemused. He wrote in Arabic: “The stupidity has reached within the nation that they introduced an area donkey and painted it to appear to be a zebra.”

Just for comparision, this is a zebra.

The director of Gardens Venture in Cairo has denied the studies that that they had tried to go off the donkey as a zebra.

“The zebra is actual and never painted,” Mohammed Sultan advised Egypt’s Youm 7 news channel.

Sultan added that the animals are effectively taken care of and are inspected commonly to make sure their welfare.

After reviewing the pictures, a pacesetter with the animal activist group PETA disagreed that this animal was effectively taken care of.

“No respected animal care facility would topic a skittish animal like a donkey to the stress of being restrained and sprayed with chemical compounds like paint, which might trigger a painful allergic response, and PETA hopes that Cairo authorities are absolutely investigating this matter,” PETA Basis Vice President Delcianna Winders advised CNN in a press release.

This is not the primary time a zoo has tried to tug the wool over customer’s eyes.

In 2013, a zoo in China angered company by attempting to go off a bushy canine as a lion. And the “lion” even barked.
