Team Liquid have decided to modify their roster entering the summer split by dropping support Adrian "Adrian" Ma ahead of the coming split, the player told ESPN's Jacob Wolf.
The release was mutual, citing differences in expectations and payment. According to sources ESPN cites, Adrian was offered a contract with less salary than his initial Team Liquid offering after the team decided that he was no longer going to be a starter.
He declined the offer and decided to pursue free agency instead, according to ESPN. Adrian did not play for the entirety of the NA LCS Summer Split Promotion Tournament.
The move comes shortly after Team Liquid acquired Adrian from Phoenix1 on March 8. He was expected to be the starting support for Team Liquid's Summer Split lineup.
Adrian himself said on social media that it was hard to fit into Team Liquid given dual support situation.
