In League of Legends, the results of international events are rarely in question. The Koreans — let's face it, SKT — are a safe bet to win any tournament they're in. But how do the rest of the regions stack up against each other?
theScore esports took a look at the results of Riot-organized international events from Worlds 2014 to MSI 2017 to see who takes second banana in cross-border LoL play.
When looking at game records instead of match records, LCK teams still dumpster basically every other region, with an 82.35% win rate against NA, 82.86% against EU and 93.75% against Wildcard teams.
Of all five other regions, LMS teams have the highest win rate against LCK teams with a 41.18% win rate, due in no small part to the prowess of Taiwan’s Flash Wolves. However, LMS teams are stomped by LPL teams to the tune of an 89.47% win rate
NA actually has fairly even win rates against every region except LCK. However, they're also the only major region that struggles against Wildcard teams with a 56.25% win percentage. Each other region is 80% or above versus Wildcards.
