Why Australians are 'smashing' strawberries after needle in fruit scare

The announcement comes after a minimum of 100 studies of needles being present in strawberries in Australia final week.

Stitching needles and pins have been present in all six Australian states, in a minimum of six manufacturers of strawberries.

The needles have triggered panic in Australia and neighboring nations.

“It is not a joke. It is not humorous. You are placing the livelihoods of hardworking Australians in danger and also you’re scaring kids,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated Wednesday. “You are a coward and you are a grub, and for those who try this kind of factor on this nation, we are going to come after you.”
